Hello Family and Friends!
We invite you to visit us here on our blog as often as possible to learn about our latest and greatest news. This will hopefully keep you all apprised of what is happening in our growing family's life.
Well, it's been four months since my last post! How terrible! We have done so much since then. We took a family trip out to California and Las Vegas, which was wonderful. We've celebrated Sabastian's 3rd birthday and my 29th! We attended the Savannah St. Patty's Day parade for the first time, which was more fun than I expected. And we've weathered some not-so-fun storms several times. Thankfully, the sun has been shining the last couple of days and I can only hope it continues to do so. Easter is just around the corner and we are really looking forward to it. Grandma and Papa as well as the Jackson's will be here to celebrate with us. Sabastian and Eric had a few days to spend together last week while the Jackson's made their way to Orlando, and the boys had such a blast. It is so sweet to see them together again. Amaya seems to be growing too fast for me. She is already crawling and has two teeth! She has most recently started pulling herself up onto us and furniture, which leads me to believe that she will be cruising in no time at all. She has turned out to be the sweetest little baby and she is always so happy. She has really become Mommy's little girl, although she absolutely adores her brother and daddy too. The sight of either of them just puts a huge smile on her face. Last weekend we attended an Easter egg hunt at the YMCA and both of my babies willingly took pictures with the Easter Bunny. It was a lot of fun! We are looking forward to a great Easter Sunday with friends and family.
Well, my baby girl is just busy learning to do so many things. She is now a pro at holding her toys and chewing on them. She is also working on sitting up and strengthening her neck muscles. She isn't a huge fan of tummy time (just like her brother was), but she doesn't mind so much if she is on her boppy. Amaya is a happy baby so long as she is not alone. She much prefers the company of her brother, whom she finds very entertaining. The more noise Sabastian makes, the happier she is and the louder she coos. It is so sweet to see the adoration she already has for her big brother.
The Scheurer kids are hard at work this morning. One of them has voluntarily become my hired help! Sabastian loves to vacuum, so I got a few shots of him working hard at his task. He likes to pick things up from the carpet and place them in front of the vacuum. It is very entertaining. Amaya, on the other hand, is focused on becoming a big girl. She has finally learned how to grasp onto her toy and hold it in her hands. Furthermore, she can now bring that toy all the way to her mouth, which is great since she is in the midst of teething! A very productive day so far for my little ones!
It's been well over a month since my last post, but in my defense, we have been super busy! Since my last post, we have been to the other side of the country and back and we've moved from Alabama to Georgia. We have been in our new home for three weeks now and are finally settled in. We love it here so far! I have a million and one pictures to post, but for now, I'll just get a couple up. Amaya is now over three months old... and teething already! Sabastian is approaching three years old and is eagerly awaiting Santa's visit. Needless to say, he more than understands the concept of receiving gifts at Christmas. At this point, he literally asks not only for everything he sees on TV, but he also randomly asks to go to Walmart so he can get a new toy! How did this happen?? LOL!
Today is Amaya's two month birthday! She had her check up and immunizations this afternoon. She was as dramatic as she could possibly be! She was not happy with her shots and everybody in the building was made aware of it. Thankfully, she doesn't hold grudges and is back to being a happy little lady. Since birth, Amaya has gained over three pounds and has grown one and half inches in length. So far, she is doing great; reaching her milestones and growing as expected.
