Adventure Land and Midnight Bowl

Yesterday, we had a very nice day all together as a family. We started our day by visiting Adventure Land in Dothan, which is little theme park with miniature golf, bumper boats, go karts, an arcade, etc. Unfortunately, the extreme heat prevented us from doing most of the outdoor activities, but the "boys" still had fun driving the go karts and playing video games in the arcade. I spent most of the time being photographer, as usual! After we left Adventure Land, we drove to Sonic and enjoyed some milkshakes. It was the perfect way to cool off! Later in the evening, we joined our friends for some bowling fun. It was a really great time with great company. The adults enjoyed bowling and beer (with exception to the preggers, of course) and the kids had fun bowling and running around wild.

Baby Shower

Last Saturday, we had our co-ed baby shower at our house. My good friend Karissa hosted the shower and it turned out beautifully. Everyone seemed to have a really great time, including the guys. We played some fun games both for the girls, guys and couples. I don't have many pictures to post because my camera died (of course) and we didn't have any extra batteries (of course), but here are the few that we were able to get. My friend Jessica was kind enough to use her camera for the rest of the day, but I haven't had the chance to get those pics from her yet. I will post them up as soon as I do because there are some really funny pictures to share. To all of our friends who attended and were so generous to give such great gifts, thank you so much! It was a great day and we were happy to have you all there to celebrate the upcoming arrival of our baby girl with us!

Tholocco Beach

Okay, so I'm already falling behind on getting my posts up... what's new?! Here are some photos from our visit to Tholocco Beach here at Fort Rucker. We spent the day with our friends Jennifer, Eric, Andrea, Lucien and Braden. The water was pretty gross, but the temperature was perfect and the boys had fun in the sand. Taz enjoyed himself on the slide several times and we just spent as much time in the sun as we could possibly take. Enjoy!

Weekend Recap

We had a pretty fun-filled weekend. On Friday night, we (except Johvan) went to Water World in Dothan, which is a small water park. Thankfully, the weather cooperated with us long enough to allow us a couple of hours of fun in the water. Several of our friends came with us, so fortunately, Sabastian had some company other than adults to play with. He really had fun in the big pool that created waves every so many minutes. When the water was calm, he and his friends Eric and Analiese would walk deeper and deeper into the pool until the water would reach their necks! Taz also enjoyed himself and was able to check out the big water slides several times. We were also lucky enough to enjoy free hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks!

On Saturday morning, Johvan, Taz, Ernest and Don (Johvan's classmate) all went fishing at Lake Tholocco. Johvan rented a 16' boat and they spent four hours on the water. Unfortunately, they came home empty-handed. They had a few bites, but never actually caught any fish. They did, however, get to see a Bald Eagle, which was pretty exciting for most of them. Later in the day, the weather got pretty ugly so we stayed home for the rest of the day and just had pizza for dinner.

Sunday was a kick back day for most of us. The boys stayed home while I went on a lunch date with my two girlfriends, Jen and Jennifer. We had some lunch and ice cream at a homemade ice cream shop called Smoochies and then we checked out a movie. After that, we browsed a couple of stores and each left with a random purchase. I bought a rice cooker, Jen bought an umbrella and Jennifer bought a paper shredder and some water goggles! LOL! It was a great time, especially when we all got caught in a down pour as we left the movie theater. Good times!

A Day in the Sun

Today we visited the Enterprise Park so that Sabastian and Taz could get out and enjoy some summer sun. Afterward, we went back home and they had tons of fun cooling off and playing on the Slip N Slide.

4th of July in Florida

Johvan, Sabastian and I spent the holiday weekend in Florida visiting family. We had a wonderful time! While there, we were able to also spend time with my Auntie Sandra, Uncle Louis and cousins Talia and Louis. Sabastian had an absolute blast playing with his godsister Isabella and cousin Taz. We spent July 4th at the river and then feasted on delicious food at my Nina's house later in the evening, where we also set off some fireworks. On Saturday, we spent the morning and early afternoon at Daytona Beach. Both the weather and water were beautiful. Sabastian revealed his daredevil side to us by not only diving into the water, but also staying under for several seconds while actually holding his breath! He also had lots of fun playing in the sand with Isabella. When it came time to leave, we were a little bummed. But, at the same time, we are also excited be back home now and have Taz here with us!
