Endless Kisses!

Sabastian just adores Amaya! He wants to hold her everyday and give her kisses. This morning, I caught him trying to get her out of her swing! I asked what he was doing and he said "I want to hold baby sister". So I had him sit on the couch with the boppy pillow on his lap and put Amaya down on it. He just devoured her with kisses from head to toe!! He is such a loving and sweet big brother!

Kiowa Family Day

This past Wednesday, my mom, sister, nieces, Sabastian and I spent majority of the day with Johvan at his class Family Day. Like family day during his primary flight school training, we were able to check out the helicopters and watch Johvan fly. But this time around, he was flying in his advanced airframe, which is the Kiowa Warrior. It was a lot of fun. The kids especially enjoyed the experience, being able to get inside the helicopter and later watch Johvan not only fly, but shoot guns and rockets! It is still so surreal to see a helicopter in the sky and know that it is my own husband flying it! I am so proud of Johvan and happy that he truly enjoys what he is doing now.

Waiting Game

Well, as of my last appointment on Tuesday, I am two centimeters dilated and 50% effaced. We are on the road to delivery, but it is taking much longer than I'd hoped. Although I am not due for another two weeks, I am ready to get this baby girl out now! My doctor stripped my membrane on Tuesday, but so far, nothing has changed except for the feeling of more pressure as the baby continues to drop. So, the plan now is if baby girl doesn't decide to arrive sooner, I am scheduled for induction on the morning of Thursday, August 21st. I'm really hoping she will surprise us and not make us wait that long, but at the very least, there is light at the end of the tunnel knowing that she will surely be here next week. Needless to say, I am very uncomfortable with this gigantic belly, but baby girl is looking very healthy and happy, which is most important. Now, we sit and anxiously play the waiting game! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers for a healthy and safe delivery of our baby girl - whenever that may be!

Sabastian and His Cousins

My mom, stepdad, sister and nieces finally made it here to Alabama. It has been exactly one year since we've seen my sister and her girls. Everyone except for Michael will stay and visit until sometime after this baby girl finally decides to join us. In the meantime, we are just enjoying one another's company. Sabastian is especially having tons of fun with his cousins Isabella and Sophia. They are all getting along beautifully and are having the time of their lives just playing all day, everyday.

Road Trip to Florida

Well, the time came for Taz to go back home to Las Vegas. We were sad to see him go, but we all had a great time. We are already talking about next year's summer visit! Because I am so far along in my pregnancy, my doctor did not give me the green light to join the boys on their road trip to Florida. They ended up meeting my mom about half way and having lunch all together at Applebee's. Sabastian had a fun time on his road trip and was very excited to see his grandma and godsister Isabella. While on their way back home, Johvan captured Sabastian entertaining himself by singing "This Little Piggy". It is just too cute!

I am also happy to report that Taz safely landed in Las Vegas this afternoon. It was his first flight ever on his own and he handled it like a champ. He reported that the flight was pretty bumpy, but not enough to keep him from catching some zzz's! We are so happy that he is back home, safe and sound. We miss you already, kid!!
